Luke's slow alphabetical journey through his DVDs continues with two Jean-Pierre Jeunet pictures - Amélie and Alien Resurrection. Certainly two sides of the cinematic coin. 

Fletcher also emerges with Robert Pattinson from the Lost City of Z, via the cinema auditorium. 

 

Sixth Issue: Get Out, Beauty and the Beast and Hot Fuzz

No A to Z this issue, so what's the plan? Well, we look at Beauty and the Beast, we explain proportional representation(?), we take care of Kong: Skull Island - I'm so sorry, John C. Reilly. We talk Girls and Get Out, then we go over to ten years of Hot Fuzz, hole up, have a cup of tea and wait for this whole thing to blow over. How's that for a slice of fried podcast?

Third Issue: After Hours, Trainspotting 2 and Manchester by the Sea

Luke and Fletcher reflect on long-awaited sequel Trainspotting 2, along with Kenneth Lonergan's moving Manchester by the Sea.

We also launch 'Luke's A-Z', a trip through Luke's DVD collection, kicking off with Martin Scorsese's occasionally forgotten 1985 masterpiece 'After Hours'.

As such, Fletcher takes a look at OSS's top 'One Crazy Night' movies, where our heroes are committed to living out the entirety of their adventure over the course of one evening.

Second Issue: JFK, Chi-Raq and Trainspotting

Luke and Fletcher look back at at Oliver Stone's controversial 1991 historical epic JFK; what it meant at the time and how it feels to watch it today in the 'post truth' climate (or whatever you want to call it).  

Whilst Fletcher also gets excited for Trainspotting 2, and hints at his special costume choice for the premier, Luke catches up with Hunt for the Wilderpeople and accidently watches all of the theatrically released Prince films.

Fletcher also fills us in on Spike Lee's latest joint; the sadly over-looked Chi-Raq.
